Biblioteca de las Tradiciones Populares Españolas (1883-1886)
CREC – Sorbonne Nouvelle
El Folk-Lore Español. Biblioteca de las Tradiciones Populares Españolas, better known by the second part of its title (acronym BTPE), is the second journal founded and directed by Antonio Machado y Álvarez. Its quarterly frequency quickly became uncertain due to the financial problems encountered by its publisher, A. Guichot y Cía. The 11 volumes of the Biblioteca de las Tradiciones Populares Españolas, whose vocation was to be the federal journal of El Folk-Lore Español, were published between 1883 and 1886, the first in Seville by Francisco Álvarez and the next ten in Madrid by R. Fé.
