The French Centre for Immaterial Cultural Heritage (CFPCI) is is one of eleven French Ministry of Culture ethnopôles forming the ethnopôle network. CFPCI centres its reflection around different axes:
– a comparative approach to the ICH policies implemented by the states which are party to the UNESCO Convention (2003), particularly in Europe ;
– an observatory of the practices and uses of this “new” heritage category; and
– participating in the inventory of ICH in France.
